"Flight No DN-635 is ready to board Passengers are requested to kindly move towards door no 2A"-1st June 2008 Kolkata, its the day when one of my childhood dream of flying in air got fulfilled. Those was the days when i used to run out of my room to see the planes flying and watch it till it was disappearing in horizon. The moment finally came when i had to see it all by myself. Thankfully and to utter delight of mine i got the window seat which i was praying to happen. Seeing the world below getting smaller and boundaries disappearing until it all goes off and all that remains is the blue sky with you flying at 36000 feet(roughly 11 km) with a speed of 830 km/hr- real exciting stuff. For the first time felt grateful to Wright brothers who started it all. The cluster of small clouds floating around made me feel special. Suddenly the plane shuddered and everybody tied their seat belts but the calm gentleman sitting besides me said this happens usually. I was surprised at the indifference with which he said those words.Anyways i was too busy enjoying the experience to really care it. A nice conversation with the gentleman(although i was trying to cut it short so that i can peek out of the window) and here comes the announcement of the landing. Came out of dream of a jovial ride and we were landing again to the real world with all the differences reappearing. The first flight experience was much exciting than i anticipated and left me vying for the next chance to get on for the same "high feeling".
